Pond Cypress (Taxodium ascendens) is a Florida native tree. A deciduous conifer with feathery foliage that turns russet-brown before dropping in fall. Develops a distinctive bottle-shaped trunk base when growing in standing water. Habitats: wetland, swamp, pond. Light: full sun, partial shade.
